Santorum Endorses Obama over Romney

Presidential candidate Rick Santorum on Thursday said Republicans should give President Barack Obama another term if Santorum isn’t the GOP nominee and for a second day compared rival Mitt Romney to an Etch A Sketch toy.
Santorum reiterated an argument he has made before: The former Massachusetts governor is not conservative enough to offer voters a clear choice in the fall election and that only he can provide that contrast.
“You win by giving people a choice,” Santorum said during a campaign stop in Texas. “You win by giving people the opportunity to see a different vision for our country, not someone who’s just going to be a little different than the person in there.”
Santorum added: “If they’re going to be a little different, we might as well stay with what we have instead of taking a risk of what may

Santorum says vote for Ron Paul

At a recent Rick Santorum event, a voter asked presidential candidate Santorum how he could say he was for limited government if he had supported so many big government programs while he was a Senator from Pennsylvania. Santorum's exasperated response was to tell him to vote for Ron Paul (See video).
Santorum's response may have reflected frustration because the Paul camp has been repeatedly pointing out Santorum's big government voting record. Congressman Paul called Senator Santorum a fake conservative during the last debate in Mesa Arizona, a charge he reinforced in a campaign ad that followed that debate.
Congressman Paul is not the only public figure to challenge Senator Santorum's voting record. Popular conservative Blogger and CNN Contributor Erick Erickson made a similar charge on his blog, Red State in December, calling Senator Santorum an Earmarxist and Pro-Life Statist.

Senator Santorum is running as the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney. Yet, Congressman Paul is not alone in pointing out that Santorum's record has not been all that fiscally conservative.
